        The Maharashtra Public Service Commission - MPSC is an body created by Constitution Of India under Article 315 for selection of offices for civil service jobs in state of Maharashtra based on the merits of the applicants and the rules for reservation are included. The Head Office of  Maharashtra Public Service Commission - MPSC is located in the state capital called Mumbai. Maharashtra Public Service Commission is an constitutional body under Article 315 of Constitution of India which provides a smooth and efficient functioning of the Government of Maharashtra by giving suitable candidates for various Government posts and advise the candidates for various matters like formulation of Recruitment Rules, advise on promotions, transfers and disciplinary actions to perform etc.

Eligibility for Exam:

  • Graduation from any branch who have completed 19 years of age.
  • Candidate under Open group can appear for exam till the age of 38 years.
  • Candidate under Reserved group can appear for exam till the age of 43 years.
  • No restriction on how often you take exam.
  • Exam can be taken any number of times within the age limit.
  • Candidate should have Domicile Certificate of Maharashtra to appear for exam.
  • Exam can be given in Marathi or English.
  • Candidate needs to have a knowledge of Marathi.
  • Marathi should be taken as a subject at school certificate examination.

Stage 1: MPSC Preliminary Exam

Stage 3: MPSC Interview Exam

        Candidate who clears the MPSC Main Exam are called for MPSC Interview. In Interview there is a panel of MPSC board members that assesses the candidate's suitability for his/her administrative career. It is more like personality test where apart from a general knowledge the candidates's presence of mind, communications skills, etc. are being evaluated in interview.
